The Austrian ski resort of Brixen im Thale (2580 residents) is nicely set at 800 meters elevation amidst the Kitzbuhel Alps. Brixen is traditional Tirolean resort not only for the skiers and snowboarders but for all sport enthusiasts and is also a preferred destination for hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers. Brixen Skiing Holidays
Well located in largest inter-connected skiing area of Austria - the Ski Welt, Brixen is also very close to the ski resort of Westendorf. Apres ski can be nice and lively, but is mostly hotel based in Brixen.
The resort has fourteen snow cannons which will prepare the local pistes when needed. The twelve local lifts 12 can uplift 99000 persons per hour. Brixen is part of the SkiWelt Area, so in addition to its own ski slopes, with the appropriate lift pass one can reach over five hundred individual runs and enjoy snow sports in the nearby resorts of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Soell.
Brixen Transportation
The nearest airports to the village of Brixen in Thale are these in Salzburg (~80 km), Innsbruck (~90 km) and Munich (~150 km).
By train one can get to the resort from Worgl to Brixen im Thale.
By car:
From Germany: motorway Munich - Kufstein – Wörgl, then take the Brixental exit – it is twenty kilometers to Brixen in Thale.
From Italy via Brenner motorway to Worgl and Brixental.
