Situated on only twenty-four kilometers northwest of Innsbruck, Seefeld lies on a beautiful plateau at 1200 meters elevation and has about 3100 residents. Famous for hosting Nordic Ski World Championships in 1985, Nordic sports in 1964 and 1976 Olympic Winter Games, it is one of the best known winter sports resorts. More than ten trains daily depart from Innsbruck to Seefeld and not less busses.

 

Seefeld Skiing Holidays

With its more than  two hundred and sixty kilometers of cross country ski trails for all difficulty levels, the resort is counted as one of Europe’s best for cross country skiing. In this Olympia Region, walkers, mountaineers and climbers have to choose their adventures from a network of four-hundred and fifty kilometers of hiking trails and mountain paths. There are also around eighty kilometers of cleared and carefully prepared winter walking trails available in the magnificent surroundings of the resort.

 

Although mainly famous for its winter sports, Seefeld offers and great opportunities for the perfect summer holiday. There are more than six hundred and fifty kilometers of mountain trails and Nordic Walking routes for those who are in love with hiking. Also the resort provides its guest with two public swimming pools and also two lakes are near the area. Mountain bikers have to choose from two hundred kilometers of various routes for all categories.
