Gmunden is situated 170 kilometers southwest of Vienna, forty kilometers southwest of Linz and seventy-six kilometers northeast of Salzburg at an altitude of 425 meters and has around 15000 residents. This lively town is well known as a Spa Resort since 1860s and it is now one of the most famous summer resorts in the region of Salzkammergut. Due to its attractive location on the shores of Traunsee Lake and fascinating mountain scenery, it is a great place for rest and recreation for the whole family.
