Bad Kreuzen is situated only seven kilometers north of the Danube River, at 479 meters elevation, near the town of Grein. Bad Kreuzen offers the famous over 150 year old Kneipp Center and a unique hiking and cycling paths in the magnificent surroundings. One of the most interesting and exciting attractions in the area of Bad Kreuzen is the remarkable Wolfsschlucht gorge and hiking trail with same name, which leads past the imposing Burg Kreuzen Castle. The nearest airports are these in Linz and Vienna; if going there by car one should take the Motorway from Vienna, Salzburg or Passau, exit: Amstetten west, then via Grein and Bad Kreuzen. Trains are available to Amstetten or Grein, then you should proceed by bus to Bad Kreuzen.
