The Austrian resort of Wald is situated between the Hohe Tauern and Pinzgauer Grasberge mountains and is a great place for family holidays among the nature in any season. Wald is a small, community set on an elevation of 900 meters, close to the Hohe Tauern National Park, which makes it a preferred destination for hiking tours. Mountain biking is another great way to explore the unique nature via the Tauern Cycle Path, which route suitable for the whole family. Other recommended trips in the area include visits to the Krimml Waterfalls, the Swarovski Crystal Worlds or just a panoramic drive on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. In the summer season one can enjoy nice swimming in the clear waters of Durlassboden Reservoir. Wald Skiing Holidays

In winter visitors of Wald can go ski or snowboard on the ski pistes of the Zillertal Arena and in the Ski-Arena Wildkogel. For the cross-country lovers, the Pinzga cross-country trail is a good choice, where one can ski through the whole valley. Tobogganing and winter hiking are also popular  activities during the winter season.
