The Austrian ski resort of Niederau is a popular skiing village in Tirol and part of the Wildschönau skiing area situated at 828 meters elevation. The region of Wildschonau is ideal for family holidays and vacations in any season. Niederau Skiing Holidays

In addition to the snow sports in the resort of Niederau, which has 18 pisted itself, the appropriate lift-pass will give you access to skiing or boarding in the other Wildschönau ski villages such as the famous resort of Oberau. Niederau has access to sixty-five kilometers of downhill pistes, with fifty individual runs, accessed by 26 lifts. The resort has snow-making facilities and its pistes are served by seventeen snow cannons. The 10 lifts of the village can uplift 14000 people per hour. Niederau is especially suitable for beginners and intermediates and also has a snow park for snowboarders and free riders.

Niederau Apres Ski

Après ski and night entertainments are lively and varied in Niederau, with something for everyone. There is plenty of music and dancing at the local nightclubs and bars.
The resort has 2 nightclubs, good bars and restaurants offering traditional Austrian and Italian cuisine.

Markbachjoch Sculpture Park

An interesting attraction is to have a pleasant walk around the new Sculpture Park on the Mittermoosenalm. The park can be reached in half hour from the top station of the gondola lift in Niederau. Twenty sculptures by various international artists can be enjoyed on the Mittermoosen Alm and few more sculptures are added annually. One can also combine the trip to the park with a nice walk around the Markbachjoch Mountain.
