The Austrian ski resort of Mallnitz (1031 inhabitants) is situated in the heart of the National Park Hohe Tauern at 1200 meters altitude. The area is preferred by many tourists not only for skiing and snowboarding, but also for relaxing holidays among the picturesque nature.

Mallnitz Skiing Holidays
The famous Carinthian resort of Mallnitz has its own local skiing area but one can also easily get to the nearby Molltal Glacier to explore larger ski terrain or even go ski or snowboard on the glacier during the summer season.
The Austrian winter village of Mallnitz has provides with snowsports on twenty-eight kilometers of ski runs, including nineteen individual slopes, which can be accessed by twelve lifts (9700 persons per hour) .
The snow sports on the local Hausler Alm (1872 meters) are particularly suitable for beginners. However, most of the skiable terrain in Mallnitz consists of red pistes for Intermediates. The resort has a family slope and there is night skiing and snowboarding available too.
In any case, the main attraction here is the famous Molltal Glacier, with its fantastic lifts, starting with the Glacier Express. There is a high elevation cross country circuit - one of the many kilometers of cross country trails in this skiing area.
Mallnitz and the Molltal glacier are heaven for the snowboarders, which can also have some great fun in the snow park on the glacier with bumps and great jumps off-piste.
Mallnitz Après Ski
Guests looking for an interesting nightlife will not be disappointed in resort of Mallnitz, where one will find a good choice of entertainment. Some of the famous bars here include Treff and Angkogel. The PerDu Musik and Dance Pub in Hotel Karntnerhof has Karaoke every Monday. The resort also has few very good discos, providing with great nightlife and entertainment till the small hours.
