Leogang Skiing Holidays

With the first snow fall, the Saalbach - Hinterglemm - Leogang Skicircus begins to roll. Whether you are an extreme pro or a complete beginner, you will find it is all happening here on these scenic mountains. Snowboarders find their Dorado and every winter sport fan’s dreams come true. Skiing here is pure bliss, breathtaking nature combined with a complete package. There are sixty ski lifts and about two hundred kilometers of perfectly groomed pistes. Take a ride up with the Leoganger Bergbahnen lift from the Asitz-valley station and you will reach skier’s paradise in only a few minutes, no queuing and a safe, comfortable ride thanks to the contemporary technique and well trained staff. In the modern eight man gondolas, one will glide up to 1 000 meters in just 12 minutes, directly up to the winter arena of the Asitz. At the top, one can choose to swing or carve on the many slopes or maybe you just want to enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains.  Nearby the Asitz is the best entertainment on the sun terraces of ski huts as well as the perfect place to relax and put on plenty of sun cream to obtain a healthy and long lasting tan. Snowboarders can indulge in their passion in the new Fun Park, which can be located between the 4 man chair lift and the new Asitzmulden lift. The fun park has many different elements of various difficulty levels and is a challenge for both beginners and experts.  This is an ideal training area as well.

Leogang Cycling & Biking

Bikepark Leogang is located in the holiday region of Saalfelden - Leogang and has developed itself into the top spot for bike sport. It presents the largest and best bike spot in the whole Alps. Saalfelden and Leogang are testing the biker’s calves here in the middle of a mountainous world of fascination. There are more than 740 kilometers of mountain bike routes and 480 kilometers of cycling trails along the valleys. Also the resort’s area provides its visitors with hot single-trails, a large bike park in Leogang, cable-car including bike transfer. All routes are well kept and marked for all difficulty levels.

Leogang Hiking

In Leogang’s unlimited walking paradise there are more than four hundred kilometers of marked and well kept walking paths, cozy mountain huts, good lunch stops on the way, and many small adventures up to 2600 meters all day long. Whether walking, hiking or trekking, this is a paradise for all mountain lovers. The climbing tours in the Steinernen Meer or the Leoganger Steinberg mountains will make one’s heart race.

Leogang Senses & Experiences Theme Park

Break up the gondola ride and step out at the middle station to visit the "Senses & Experiences Theme Park". The Senses & Experiences Theme Park area is located directly by alpine meadows and in the forest. The Park is interesting for all age groups. There are at least twenty-five stations plus many gadgets that can be tried out and explored either alone or in a group. Either take your time and dally from one station to the next or have a look at this park while passing through the area. Information boards will familiarize you with the stations. Discover the approximately one hundred healing plants, trees, bushes, alpine flowers and cooking herbs. Or explore Leogang’s Water world with a barefoot trail through the water and a walkable waterfall.

Golfing in the Alps

The alpine golf resort Pinzgau is located in the center of the Alps and is a great site for all golf lovers.  As well as the two courses GC Urslautal and GC Brandlhof, one can reach another 20 clubs very quickly, within a one hour radius. The two local courses GC Brandlhof and GC Urslautal are famous for their beautiful alpine scenery, their club restaurants, partner hotels and excellent golf schools.

Leogang Mining Museum

In 1992 a mining museum was established in an old miner’s house in the tiny village of Hutten in Leogang. Now this museum is the center for history culture, art of science in the Pillersee-Leogang area. It has been extended and below ground level - a two hundred and fifty square meters exhibition area has been built.
