FUSCHL AM SEE - HOTELS & TOURIST INFORMATION

Fuschl is very famous among the citizens of Salzburg because of the nearby lake Fuschlsee – the closest lake to Salzburg. The town has 1323 inhabitants and is located at 670m above sea level. It is near a mountain, a golf course, cross country ski track and a lakeside. Fuschl is a festival city reachable by Route 158. Some parts around the lake are actually nature reserves and there are also many taverns. Fuschl is mainly a summer resort because of the festivals. But you can lodge there at any time of the year in order to explore Salzburg (20km) or Wolfgangsee. The resort is also near Bad Ischl (30km). You can as well visit the beautiful Salzburgerland and Salzkammergut regions. In the village there are restaurants with great cuisines of all kind, plus concerts, exhibitions and festivals.
Fuschl has no railway connection with other towns, but there are many buses from and to Salzburg (35 min trip) and at Bad Ischl (an hour to the resort).
