Flachau Skiing Holidays

Flachau was previously popular only among the Europeans but now is beginning to attract more and more international skiers. The site has about 1.5 kilometers of floodlit downhill runs, modern lift facilities that include the world's first six-seat bubble-encased chairlift, and buses that haul the bored from one ski area to another. The snowfall here is usually guaranteed. There are four ski schools, one hundred and sixty kilometers of cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs, and ice-skating facilities.
To get there, one may take the train to either Radstadt or the village immediately adjacent to it, Altenmarkt. From the stations of either town, 7-8 buses depart daily on the eleven kilometers drive southwest into Flachau.
