The Austrian ski resort of Ehrwald is lies in a wide and sunny valley, nestled between the majestic mountain ranges of Mieminger and Wettersteingebirge. The village is situated at 1000 meters altitude and has ~2680 inhabitants. The recreational area is pretty popular among the mountain bikers and hikers loving the unspoiled nature. There is a great variety of trails and paths for all abilities. There are gentle Tyrolean meadowland paths, challenging hiking trails as well as climbing trails, dotted with traditional mountain huts. For the snowboarders and free riders, the resort has a half  pipe and terrain park on the Ehrwalder Alm and on the Platt of the Zugspitz and Wetterstein. However, most visitors prefer the snow park on the Ehrwalder Alm.

By train one can reach the resort from Innsbruck - Garmisch - Ehrwald, or via Reutte to Ehrwald.
By bus from Reutte to Ehrwald, or from Innsbruck to Ehrwald or Landeck - Ehrwald. By car via Landeck-Fernpass or Innsbruck-Fernpass to Ehrwald. From Germany via Garmisch or Kempten-Reutte then to Ehrwald.
