ST. JOHANN IN TIROL- HOTELS & TOURIST INFO

Although St. Johann is not as famous as Kitzbühel, it is also not as expensive. So it would be wise if you sleep in St. Johann and go to Kitzbühel during the day – it is 10km away to the south. The village is located between two mountains - the Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbüheler Horn and therefore it is a summer and winter resort. For the summer there is an outdoor swimming pool and for the winter – ski runs suitable for beginners and experts. Also there is a ski school, a ski kindergarten, cross-country ski trails and some nice bars. The little village looks very hospitable with its old Tyrolean houses.

St. Johann is located around 400 kilometers away from Vienna, 90km away from Innsbruck and Munich. From Innsbruck to St. Johann you can get by car by following the A12 east to the Route 312. From Innsbruck and Salzburg there are trains on every hour to the village and the trip is respectively a little more than an hour and two hours and a half. There are also regular busses between Kitzbühel and St. Johann (30 min trip) and between St. Johann and Salzburg.
