ROHRMOOS - HOTELS & TOURIST INFORMATION

The skiing area of Schladming – Rohrmoos is the center of the Dachstein Tauern region and these are Styria’s westernmost resorts. Rohrmoos (~6500 residents) is situated at 750 meters above the see, but there are ski pistes at up to 2860 meters. The resort of Rohrmoos provides with great choice of quality hotels, ski chalets and private accommodation, as well as some good après ski and entertainment. Popular activities in the summer season include cycling trails, mountain bike routes, fantastic hiking paths, climbing, tennis, golf, rafting.

Rohrmoos Skiing Holidays

 The Austrian ski resort of Rohrmoos has on offer fifty-four kilometers of ski slopes, with twenty seven individual runs, which are accessed by twenty six lifts. With ski slopes above 2500 meters, snow sports are assured throughout the ski season.
The airport in Salzburg is only on around one hour drive away, so skiing weekends, snow and short family vacations to Rohrmoos are very popular.  In addition to the Skiing in Rohrmoos itself, four mountain-interconnected ski area is accessable allowing one to ski or snowboard on 160 kilometers of pistes, served by 86 lifts. Also there are cable railways, cross-country skiing trails, toboggan run, ice rink, winter hiking trails, and many other attractions and activities.

Rohrmoos Transportation

Rohrmoos is easily accessible from the airport of Salzburg (90 km). Other airports include Linz (185 km), Graz (190 km) and more distant Munich (290 km), Vienna (300 km) and Innsbruck (320 km).
By train one can get to Schladming, and from where continue with bus or taxi to the resort of Rohrmoos.
