HALLSTATT - TRANSPORTATION

If you travel by train you should know that Hallstatt is 43km away from the rail junction at Stainach-Irdning and 64km away from the one at Attnang-Puchheim. It takes 2 hours by train from Linz to Hallstatt and 4 hours from Vienna. There are also 8 buses available every day from Bad Ischl, passing through Bad Goisern to Hallstatt. By car from Bad Ischl you can use Route 145 and then drive through Steeg to Hallstatt.
