EISENSTADT - HOTELS & TOURIST INFO

This small town is situated at the foot of the Leitha mountains, at the beginning of the steppe extending into Hungary on about fifty kilometers south-east of Vienna. Encircled by vineyards, forests, and fruit trees, it's a convenient stop for exploring Lake Neusiedl, which is on ten kilometers east. Eisenstadt lies at an elevation of 182 meters, has population of about 14 000 and is the capital city of Burgenland province.
