BAD KLEINKIRCHHEIM - TRANSPORTATION

Bad Kleinkirchheim is situated in the south of Austria, forty kilometers north of Villach and seventy kilometers northwest of Klagenfurt and is only directly accessible by road. Taking an airplane to Salzburg, Klagenfurt, and Munich and taking a train and bus combination, via Spittal, is maybe the most practical option. However, self-drive and international rail travels are also popular.

Klagenfurt’s airport is the nearest, but it receives limited flights. From there to Bad Kleinkirchheim one may take a train/bus combination, or hire a car. The next closest airport is this in Salzburg, and then this in Munich. Munich’s airport has much more flights, and various transfer options to Bad Kleinkirchheim - with buses, trains, and car hire.
The resort is close to the A10 Salzburg - Villach highway, and it is connected to the European motorway network, making self-drive easy.
There are trains arriving in Spittal train station (close to Bad Kleinkirchheim) three times daily from Munich-FJ Strauss Airport and four times daily from Klagenfurt Airport. Buses will take one from Spittal to the resort.
